Welcome to 34

Yes, today, I turn 34 years old.

I keep thinking it doesn’t feel that old. Then, when I look at the world, and see how so much has changed in just the last decade, I begin to feel old. I almost feel like I lost my way at some point, and am only now getting back on track.

Thinking back, the last 5 years have been a bit hectic, including buying a house in a totally different town that I didn’t know, to having a child and returning to work after time as a stay at home parent.

So I feel that 2019 is a turning point in that I think I have more time to myself. When in fact, it’s simply because I have a better routine. And routine is one of my favourite things. I may write about my daily routine some time, if you’re interested. Let me know below.

Anyway, as I said at the beginning, I’m now 34. It’s a bit of a middle ground in terms of where I’ve been and where I’m headed. My weekly going out and getting drunk days are long gone, but the days of being able to do what I want, when I want, commonly known as retirement, are a long distant way away yet and don’t bare thinking about. So where does that leave me.

That’s where this blog comes in. I’m at a point now where I want to explore opportunities. We’re not financially stable just yet, but there are a few things changing this year that should help. So I’m looking at 2019 being a case of creating some groundwork, before 2020 (yes, I’m thinking about an entire 12 months in the future already) and some bigger plans.

Hopefully I can keep taking time out of my day to build this, and all of your feedback is welcome to help my online world grow.

Thanks for reading, leave a comment below and I’ll start setting some time aside to respond. (Something else to add to my daily routine)

David
